IT WAS A NICE DAY, SO I TOOK A WALK ON THE SHORES OF THE LIPTOVSKA MARA.
This afternoon, amongst other places, I visited also my favorite location with remains of the tower at the Liptovska Mara lake and I took some wintertime landscape photos there. As I already mentioned, it is a view portraying the tower that was once part of historical Church of the Virgin Mary, based at the Liptovska Mara lake, with hills of the Rohace mountains, part of Western Tatras seen far away in the distance covered with ice cold snow on the top!
As you can see it was a nice day today, full of sunshine with clear blue sky and quite comfortable temperature for this day of the year; around 0 degrees Celsius (32 Fahrenheit). Previous days it was freezing a lot and because of that some parts of the waters of the Liptovska Mara can be seen covered with thin ice.
As many of you already know from my previous posts, the Liptovska Mara is the second largest lake in Slovakia by area (27 km2 / 10 mi2) and it is a very popular holiday destination for travelers from all around the world, of course, especially during the summer months. But even when it is freezing cold the Liptovska Mara does have something about it, doesn’t it?! This lake is located in Liptov region, on the river of Vah, between towns of Ruzomberok and Liptovsky Mikulas, northern Slovakia.
I am an enthusiast photographer walking my own path in stock photography genre. Taking photos of landscapes, natural sceneries and animals is what I prefer to do at my spare time. Architecture and cultural heritage pictures such as pictures of castles, historical towns or outdoor museums are my passion too. Although I still feel as an hobbyist photographer, I successfully sell my photos trough world's leading stock photography agencies for years anyway. The commercial success of my photography works was, and still is, really an interesting experience for me since the beginning.

Ďakujem +Daniela Augustka Blah! Snáď aj u vás bude pekné počasie čoskoro. Inak, ten štvorcový formát je vlastne "panoráma" v zmysle, že sú to v skutočnosti dve snímky, ktoré som odfotografoval vertikálne a následne som ich zložil dokopy vo Photoshope pri koncových úpravách.
