I AM HAPPY THAT WE HAVE HEDGEHOGS IN OUR GARDEN AGAIN THIS SUMMER!
This afternoon, during resting on the bench in our garden, I suddenly saw something in the distance, moving the tops of the grass very slowly. I came closer, naturally very curious what kind of animal it might be and I saw that it is a little hedgehog! I immediately run for the camera and took a lot of photos of it; one of which I attached here.
I guess, because of the young age of this hedgehog, it almost wasn’t timid at all. Thus, it was fairly easy to take a lot of photos of it, using wide-angle lens from a quite small distance.
Anyway, I am very happy that we have hedgehogs in our garden again. In the past years we had a pair of hedgehogs here, when they made their nest under a spruce tree. But, it is actually a very rare for hedgehogs to nest near human settlements, so we were happy about that! This year, I haven’t seen any of them in our garden until now, so I started to be worried that they left our garden. But, luckily, today I found out that everything is as it should be!
Our hedgehogs are here again! :)
I am an enthusiast photographer walking my own path in stock photography genre. Taking photos of landscapes, natural sceneries and animals is what I prefer to do at my spare time. Architecture and cultural heritage pictures such as pictures of castles, historical towns or outdoor museums are my passion too. Although I still feel as an hobbyist photographer, I successfully sell my photos trough world's leading stock photography agencies for years anyway. The commercial success of my photography works was, and still is, really an interesting experience for me since the beginning.

Thank you +Yvonne Savaikis! I am glad that you like it. We have a big garden with a lot of leafy and coniferous trees, young and also the old ones, many plants of various types, bushes and generally a lot of places where little animals, such as hedgehogs can hide without being disturbed by anyone.
